Economista con elevata formazione accademica e oltre 30 anni di esperienza professionale nell’ideazione, attuazione e valutazione di politiche, programmi e progetti di sviluppo socio-economico e territoriale. Oltre vent’anni di quest’esperienza (1981-98 e 2003-08) è stata acquisita all’estero analizzando e gestendo strategie, programmi e progetti di sviluppo locale e delle infrastrutture in economie mature e in paesi in via di sviluppo, lavorando e/o dirigendo centri di ricerca internazionale, banche multilaterali di sviluppo, agenzie finanziarie delle Nazioni Unite e cabine di regia. Altri 15 anni di quest’esperienza (1979-81, 1998-2003 e 2008-oggi) è stata acquisita nella Pubblica Amministrazione italiana contribuendo allo sviluppo delle politiche nazionali, analizzando e/o gestendo progetti di sviluppo e di modernizzazione.

The 3rd EUSAIR Forum, organised by Italy with the European Commission and the EUSAIR Facility Point, will be held in Catania (Italy) on 24-25 May 2018 to illustrate the achievements of the EUSAIR macro-regional Strategy and enhance networks and partnerships within the Adriatic-Ionian Region.

The Forum will encourage dialogue between financial partners and strategy actors, to bridge the gap between the objectives pursued and funding opportunities.

Ministers from the eight EUSAIR Countries, EU Commissioners, representatives from EU, regional/local institutions, and Strategy key implementers will jointly identify opportunities for increased cooperation within EUSAIR four Pillars (Blue Growth, Transport and Energy Networks, Environmental Quality, and Sustainable Tourism), with a special focus on Connectivity.

The Forum will be preceded by the Adriatic-Ionian Council/EUSAIR Ministerial Meeting (24 May), bringing together EUSAIR Countries’ Ministers of Foreign Affairs, those responsible for EU Funds, and relevant European Commissioners, to discuss and adopt the Catania Declaration and indicate the EUSAIR and AII way forward.

A EUSAIR Business to Business (B2B) session will involve SMEs, Chambers of Commerce, Research Institutes, and other Adriatic-Ionian organisations, to explore new business opportunities for longer term cooperation. Several thematic meetings will also be held back-to-back with the Forum.
