Roberto Quadrini

Roberto Quadrini graduated from Automation Engineering, Rome University in 1994. He worked for Spazio Zerouno in 1995 and HP Research & Development 1997-2007. Since 2007, he became a smart grid consultant for many Italian Companies. From 2009-2012, he worked in Digitalwatt as a CTO and partner. He has participated and contributed to more than 30 events and workshops for Smart Grid and Energy Efficiency.

Now he working in Concept Reply as Senior Manager. He is owner of two patent, "COGEA"(Combined Heat and Power Geothermally Assisted) and "Control and prediction system of carbon footprint arising from electrical consumptions of loads directly connected to it". Member of IETF EMAN Group to define the standard of Energywise protocol. Technical Committee Member of Italian Cisco Energywise Alliance. He published several papers about load forecasting and Demand Response themes. He received a international acknowledgment at CiscoLive 2012 Innovation Awards for "WineWise project: Next Generation Architecture for Smart Wine Production". He currently manages two big project:

- Nomura Demand&Response Gateway at an important Italian Hospital
- Pilot project for innovative services for Agriculture products (Quality Management, Tracking, Zero Emission Certification UNI EN ISO 14064.1).

La progettazione di nuovi edifici e la gestione del patrimonio immobiliare esistente devono necessariamente confrontarsi con le sempre più evidenti esigenze di sostenibilità ambientale e con i nuovi bisogni espressi dai cittadini e dalle imprese. La presenza sul mercato di nuovi materiali edili ad alte prestazioni e di tecnologie sempre più evolute per il monitoraggio dell'impatto ambientale degli edifici pubblici e privati hanno portato ad un'affermazione dei principi - espressi anche nei bandi governativi - dello "Zero Impact Building" e del "Ambient Assisted Living". Contestualmente alle azioni volte al miglioramento della qualità della vita delle persone (per la quale non va sottovalutato il definitivo abbattimento delle barriere architettoniche), assume particolare rilievo la tematica del facility management, ovvero della gestione e manutenzione efficiente di impianti e servizi. Il convegno affronta l'ampio spettro delle tematiche verticali coinvolte grazie anche al coinvolgimento di esperti del settore, amministratori pubblici, aziende operanti sul campo e progetti europei di efficientamento degli edifici storici.

Urban development strategy and requalification of existing buildings must ensure social, environmental and economic development as established by governments tenders "Zero Impact Building" and "Ambient Assisted Living". The improvement of the quality life (architectural barriers removal included) combined with the upgrading of facilities and networks, as well with smart governance policies, will determine increasingly the success of cities. The meeting faces the different issues with the participation of industry experts, public administrators, buildings planners.
